Information technology (IT) supports most of today’s innovations. It’s also a key element of our drive to maintain a high level of customer service.
Meet Joe Scibilia, our new National IT Manager. Joe came from an IT management background where he led both Business Solutions and Technical teams.
He is Microsoft and Linux Certified and also has a Diploma in Business and Marketing.
“I’ve only been with Joyce for 3 months. I’ve already learnt a lot about the foam making process. It’s interesting to see how the different departments at Joyce work together to produce the final product.
I like working at Joyce as it gives me the opportunity to bring cutting-edge technology to the organisation. The systems I’m supporting help the various in-house teams collaborate and basically get on with their daily business tasks more efficiently.
I’ve also been involved in the new Joyce website, creating the IT roadmap and building our social media presence. This is an important part of the company’s brand recognition.”
A few of the bigger projects on Joe’s list are:
- Eliminating downtime at the Moorebank site during power outages through a Business Continuity Planning process
- Supporting the sales team in their role to provide better customer support by improving the existing IT system and maintaining a Customer Relationship Management system
- Making it easier for clients to make and check on their orders through the development of our online Customer Portal
When he’s not knee-deep in computer code, Joe enjoys cooking, playing pool, rally driving and just about anything to do with fast cars. He also enjoys spending time with his family.
